What do you intend to achieve in the modeling industry? What will you do to achieve that dream which is ofcourse to be a famous model in the Philippines.
I intend to be one of the most in-demand models in the Philippines. I dream of gracing magazine covers and billboards. I also want to be given a lead role in a TV commercial. I will still keep on doing this, hoping that I’ll achieve this dream.
As a Philippine Fashion Model, What can you advice to improve the current modeling/fashion industry in the Philippines?I notice that the modeling industry in the Philippines is degrading as time passes by. This is all because of so many desperate aspiring models. Since many are so desperate to be a model, they will do everything and offer free services such as photoshoots, fashion show and film acting even without talent fee, thinking that they will get paid projects in the near future. Because of this, many photographers, fashion designers, make-up artists, agents, etc. are taking advantage of this. So as a Philippine Fashion Model, I would like to escalate the status of the models by providing high standards. We should all agree not to give free services (except in some cases like in some photoshoots) so as not to tolerate them. They are just taking advantage of the models. They don’t even think of our time, transportation, makeup, clothes, and everything that we’ve invested. If no model will agree with giving free service, they will be obliged to give Talent Fee to models. As what the Filipino saying goes: "Walang manloloko kung walang magpapaloko."
What are the characteristics/traits that a model should have aside from being beautiful/good looking?
Many people dream of becoming a model, but few understand what it takes to get into the business. It takes more than beauty, it also takes hard work. You should have the right attitude, confidence, honesty, determination, integrity and of course hard work. Looks are only external and may get you into modeling, but it’s got to be your attitude that will take you places. Learning to accept rejection is also important.Aside from Modeling, What are your dreams as a person? And what are your plans/strategies to achieve them?
Aside from modeling, I also dream of being successful in everything that I do. I want to be a great programmer. Since this is my chosen professional career, I can still hone my skills in programming and continue learning new things while doing modeling part-time.
